Library Services: Mon-Fri 10 a.m. - 10 p.m.
Library Facilities: The seminary library is located on the main campus on the third floor and is accessible to students and faculty Monday through Friday from 10a.m. to 10p.m.
The library has a floor space of 2,000 square feet. The collection size is approximately 40,000 volumes with one part-time librarian. The librarian is assisted by a corps. of ten volunteers who perform filing, book-shelving and circulation duties. Special equipment in the library consists of one personal computer and one workstation with microfiche. Videocassette tapes and a CD-ROM with access to the American Theological Library Association (ATLA) database is now in progress. The ATLA data vase provides information such as dissertations, book reviews, and indexes for periodicals and essays. The library also participates in on-line shared cataloguing and a system of inter-library lending services.
Lending Policy: 1. All borrowers are required to fill out a library user application form.
2. All borrowers must show library card of student ID (for students) to check out books.
3. Books are loaned for 1-2 week period. Patrons are limited to having 2 books chech out (4 books for students) at one time.
4. The overdue fine for circulation books is 25 cents a week.
5. Renewals can be made twice unless another patron requests them.
6. Reference books and periodicals cannot be checked out.
7. Those borrowers who lose or severely damage a library book will be charged the replacement value ($10.00 minimum) or need to bring a new book in same title.
Library Rules: 1. Unnecessary or excessive noise, or any disruptive behavior will not be permitted.
2. Consumption of food or beverages is not allowed in the library.
3. Do not reshelf library materials. Return books to a book cart.
4. Periodicals must be returned to the original place.
5. All the library users must have their bags or books checked out at the circulation desk.
6. Due to the closing library duties, please have your books checked out or renewed 10 minutes before closing.
7. Personal not complying with these polices can be asked to leave.
